On the Installation configuration page remove "wordpress" from the directory field.
If your WordPress installation is only accessable in a directory called "wordpress" (e.g. http://yourdomain.com/wordpress/) and you want it to be visable at the root (top level) of your domain, you need to do a custom install using the Application Installer.
